Ch 7. Armageddon or Transformation?

Once again, I am sharing my findings with you from my Croatian bed & breakfast, and I must confess that I am doing this with trembling hands. Back in time when there were no computers or typewriters, you might have had difficulty deciphering my handwriting; fortunately for you, I can now immediately correct the typos I make on my laptop. Every time I update you, I think: it can’t get any crazier, but the past week has left Mei, Dragan, me, and the rest of the team with a sense of calamity. I will try to explain the reason for this, but is it even possible to explain this at all…?!

After analyzing the informative history tracks of Simicioth (or Vladimir Šimić) from SimVerse-11, it had become increasingly clear to us over the past week that Vladimir would not be able to return to ThisWorld of his own accord, and probably would not want to either. I understood from Dragan Modrić that this finding had not yet been shared with Vladimir’s wife, Tatjana. It was also still too early to be certain about this, and we therefore did not want to dash her hopes too quickly. However, Dragan had asked her to join our team at the Fermi Quantum Computing and Communication Research Center here in Potpuno-Izmišljen; and that was not merely out of sympathy.

The presence of Tatjana, affiliated with the Hvar Observatory of the University of Zagreb as an internationally renowned astrophysicist and specialist in the field of black holes, actually suited us very well. After all, we had managed to decipher messages from Sabaoth via the GNOSIS Translator, which had left us with a very disturbing feeling. The reason was this: the Demiurge Yaldabaoth had already set in motion the process of the termination of ThisWorld; much faster than we could ever have predicted. But then again, the information madness in our world, in ThisWorld that is, seemed beyond control, and a transformation of consciousness seemed to be achievable only through this path: a restart in a new simulation.

The looming Armageddon implied that our solar system would be swallowed by a cosmic black hole in the near future. Tatjana and her team’s cosmological knowledge provided us with more insight into just how short this timeframe was and whether we could still escape this disaster. We understood from her that it concerned a recently discovered black hole located just 150 light-years from Earth. This black hole had been named Hyades-A and was located in the Hyades star cluster within the constellation Taurus. Until that moment, it had always been a ‘dormant’ black hole that emitted no X-rays because it swallowed little to no matter from a nearby star.

Yaldabaoth would pump Hyaden-A full of the overload of quantum information that our Earth was currently drowning in, via a wormhole connection to our Earth. Tatjana’s group had already been able to measure that Hawking radiation just outside the event horizon of Hyaden-A was increasing significantly.

Tatjana explained the underlying physics to us, standing in front of the digital whiteboard in our large meeting room: “Due to this enormous acceleration of the increase in information on the holographic horizon of Hyades-A, a paradox arises, because this information is not compensated by what is located within the event horizon of Hyades-A, or in the quantum information packet called the singularity. Due to the law of conservation of information, this black hole will rapidly begin to swallow its surrounding stars by means of its immense gravity. Eventually, our sun and its surrounding planets will also disappear into Hyades-A … and this will happen considerably faster than just 150 years from now.”

Image taken in 2017 by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) of Sagittarius A*, a supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy: the Milky Way. The bright spots surrounding the dark central region show light being bent by the black hole’s immense gravity.

Tatjana: “Our solar system will continue to exist as information in the singularity. That information will gradually be emitted via Hawking radiation from the event horizon, causing it to slowly disappear. But … [ sarcastic laugh ] … this process is incredibly slow. A black hole with the mass of our sun would take about 10⁶⁷ years to evaporate; that is a 1 with 67 zeros. Conclusion: we will remain in that black hole forever!

But now it gets really intriguing: cosmologists have absolutely no idea what it looks like inside such a black hole because not a single light particle can escape from within the event horizon. So we have no idea what will happen to us: either the solar system with our Earth will be physically destroyed, or our world will continue to exist. In the latter case: will we notice anything, and if so, what?”

Now it was Mei Zhao who took the floor, after walking forward to Tatjana: “It is clear that with this, Yaldabaoth wants to put an end to our world as we know it and subsequently start a new world simulation,” she addressed the assembled team members. “Should this actually proceed, the question is whether, within Hyaden-A, we will face a destruction or a transformation of our current ThisWorld simulation. So: how is the new simulation – or the NextWorld – instantiated as a hologram; is it inherited from ThisWorld, or is an entirely new holographic template used for it? After which the question ultimately remains: where is that NextWorld located as a universe?”

[ … tense silence in the meeting room … ]

Mei continued: “Another question that inevitably follows from this is: will all inhabitants of Earth — human, animal, and plant — remain present after this transformation, or only a part of them; and what determines that. And what will this new beginning look like as a world? [ resigned smile in response to the facial expressions of those present ] Hey, it doesn’t make much sense to deal with this like a victim; then you certainly won’t come back. My team has already made preparations to bring Velicioth back into the Projector Room as an avatar … but possibly Simicioth through her as well!”

Tatjana’s broad smile brought about a wave of relaxation among those present.
